WHAT TO DO?!!!
Highland View House is centrally located on Cape Breton Island in the St Anns Region. There is much to do in St Anns; visitors enjoy hiking, dining, shopping, kayaking, and other activities. You can visit the St Anns Bay: Follow our story Facebook page to see some local events and some of the faces of the community.
Many artisan shops line the Cabot Trail around the St Ann’s Bay area. You can spend a whole day roaming through the shops to find the perfect handcrafted gift or souvenir to take back home with you. Artists create items from pottery, leather, glass, iron, wood, fabric and pewter, just to name a few mediums!
It is 15 minutes from the Gaelic College/Colaisde na Gàidhlig and about 25 minutes from beautiful Baddeck and the many attractions there, including the Bell Museum and the Bras D’or Lake biosphere.
The house is located on the world famous Cabot Trail, a scenic coastal road that winds around the northern part of Cape Breton, going through seaside villages, the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, the Acadian village of Cheticamp and many other beautiful spots. Don’t forget to stop at the many artist studios around the trail. You can do a day trip right from the house, driving around the trail and be back home in time to watch the sun setting over the highlands!
